Slightly Slick ... Snow Totals

The roads were slick this morning...but in our neighborhood we did not see Amy major traffic problems to and from the school commute.

The radar image was from the storm last night as I was watching from the weather center.

Where it was snowing at that time is where the heaviest snow totals are coming from this morning.

Des Moines had 1.2 inches of snow. Up to 2 inches of new snow was reported in SW Iowa.

The extra snow will make it a cold day
In Iowa. We also have that cold Canadian air pushing down on us today.

Highs today will be in the low to middle 20s. Lows tonight will drop back to 12.

The weekend is still looking warmer. We will watch this snow melt away.
